As a generalist I find a lot of things interesting (as one would expect), but I do choose to work with organizations that I find useful. This can mean anything from having a business model that helps humanity solve its problems to having a company culture that supports workers in living a fruitful life.
I can also be useful in achieving such goals if they are present, but yet to be materialized, or indeed help forming these goals.
Apart from that I can make most things happen, being able to understand people with different backgrounds and perspectives I can help push things forward. An understanding of technology helps, so does an understanding of humans in general. Add to that an understanding of market processes and a competitive, creative mindset and you get a good generalist.
